Programs & Resource Mobilization Officer
Job Description
Position Summary
The Programs & Resource Mobilization Officer will be responsible for proposal development, fundraising and resource mobilization, and community-level program implementation. The role requires a highly motivated individual with strong writing skills, donor engagement experience, and the ability to mobilize and work closely with grassroots communities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Writing & Fundraising
• Research funding opportunities from donors, foundations, corporates, and development partners
• Write high-quality concept notes, grant proposals, and donor reports
• Support development of fundraising strategies and resource mobilization plans
• Maintain a funding opportunities pipeline and donor database
2. Resource Mobilization & Partnerships
• Engage potential donors, partners, and sponsors
• Support relationship management with existing funding partners
• Assist in organizing fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagements
3. Program Coordination & Community Engagement
• Organize and coordinate grassroots camps, outreach activities, and community forums
• Mobilize community members to participate in projects and activities
• Support implementation of projects in education, health, environment, and sports
• Work closely with local leaders, volunteers, and community-based organizations
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
• Collect field data and success stories for reporting and donor communication
• Prepare activity reports, case studies, and project documentation
• Support monitoring and evaluation of ongoing programs
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, Communications, or a related field
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in proposal writing, fundraising, or NGO program implementation
• Proven track record of successful grant writing or donor engagement is an added advantage
• Experience working with grassroots communities is essential

• Community mobilization and facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel and work in rural/underserved areas
• Computer literacy (MS Office, email, online research tools)
