Library Frequently Asked Questions
Use the search bar at the top of the library page to find specific past papers by typing the exam name, subject, year, or examination body. For example, search "KCSE Mathematics 2023" or "CPA Section 2 November 2022". You can also filter results by category, subject, education level, or document type using the filter options. Past papers are tagged with relevant keywords, making them easy to discover. If you can't find a specific paper, use the "Request Content" feature to let us know, and we'll try to add it to the library.
Yes, all materials uploaded to the library undergo a review process before being published. Our moderation team checks submissions for accuracy, relevance, appropriate content, and educational value. We verify that past papers are authentic, notes are well-organized and comprehensive, and all materials meet our quality standards. However, user ratings and reviews provide additional quality signals - materials with higher ratings and positive reviews from other students are generally more reliable. If you encounter any quality issues, please report them so we can review and improve the content.
We appreciate your willingness to contribute, but please only upload materials you have the right to share. Copyrighted textbooks and commercial study guides should not be uploaded as they violate intellectual property laws. However, you're welcome to upload your own original notes, summaries, past examination papers (which are generally in the public domain), revision guides you've created, and other non-copyrighted educational materials. When in doubt, focus on sharing your personal study notes and summaries rather than published commercial content.
The library accepts PDF files primarily, as they maintain formatting across all devices and are easy to download and read offline. We also accept common document formats like DOC, DOCX, and images (JPG, PNG) for scanned materials. PDF is preferred because it's universal, preserves formatting, prevents editing, loads quickly, and works on all devices including smartphones. Before uploading, we recommend converting your documents to PDF using free tools if they're in other formats. Maximum file size is typically 25MB per upload to ensure quick downloads for all users.
Every resource in the library has a "Report" button that allows you to flag content for review. When reporting, please specify the issue: incorrect information, inappropriate content, copyright violation, poor quality, duplicate upload, or misleading title/description. Your reports help us maintain library quality and protect users from unhelpful or harmful materials. We take all reports seriously and review them within 48 hours. Repeated quality issues from the same uploader may result in their upload privileges being restricted.
Yes! KenyaEdu has a contribution rewards system to recognize and encourage quality uploads. You earn points for each approved upload, with bonus points for highly-rated materials and popular downloads. Accumulating points unlocks achievement badges displayed on your profile, featuring in our top contributors list, and special recognition in our community. High-quality consistent contributors may be invited to become verified uploaders with additional privileges. While rewards are currently recognition-based, we're exploring partnerships to provide tangible benefits for our most valuable contributors in the future.
