Business Developer - Nairobi
Job Description
Based in our local office, you will be responsible for building and developing your client portfolio, as well as ensuring sustainable revenue growth in your territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
• Define the commercial and marketing strategy in line with Kenya’s market objectives and global goals.
• Identify new potential clients (Insurance, Banks, Hospitals, Clinics, SMEs/SMBs) and build a prospect database.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, negotiation, contract signing, and client relationship management.
• Propose tailored technical solutions with the support of back‑office teams (Technical & Marketing).
• Detect new business opportunities to generate revenue and improve profitability.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Share market insights (direct transactional traffic, OTP, promotional marketing, etc.).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, existing clients, and key partners.
• Represent the company within the Kenyan business community.
Operational Management
• Supervise daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure results.
Product Development & Innovation
• Identify opportunities for new products adapted to the Kenyan market.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design and launch relevant solutions.
• Conduct demos, attend client meetings, and prepare commercial proposals.
Institutional Relations
• Establish and maintain relationships with government authorities, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Act with professionalism, honesty, and integrity in the best interest of the company.
Reporting
• Provide regular reports to headquarters on commercial activity.
• Submit weekly reports to the sales team.
