Jambo! You are a Wonderful Creation!
Have you ever looked at a beautiful, hand-woven kiondo? Or a strong, carved walking stick from the Maasai market? Each one is made with care, and no two are exactly the same. They are all special and unique. Well, guess what? You are even more special than that! Let's learn about the most wonderful creator, God, and His most special creation... YOU!
Image Suggestion: A vibrant, colourful image showing a diverse group of happy Kenyan children of different ages and backgrounds playing together under a large acacia tree. The sun is shining brightly. The style should be warm, friendly, and illustrative, like a children's storybook.
Our Amazing Body: A Gift from God
God (who we call Mungu, Ngai, Allah, or by other holy names) is the greatest artist. He designed and made every single part of you. Think about it!
- Your Eyes: To see the beautiful sunrise over Mount Kenya, to read your favourite storybook, and to see the happy faces of your family.
- Your Ears: To hear the sweet songs of birds, the sound of the rain on the roof, and the wise words of your teachers and parents.
- Your Nose: To smell the delicious aroma of chapati cooking or the fresh scent of the earth after it rains.
- Your Mouth: To taste sweet mangoes, to sing songs of praise, and to speak kind words to your friends.
- Your Hands: To wave hello, to help with chores at home, to draw pictures, and to hold the hands of those you love.
- Your Feet: To run and play kati with your friends, to walk to school, and to dance with joy!
Every part of you was made with a purpose and with great love. You are wonderfully made!
The "You Are Special" Formula
Did you know that in the whole wide world, with millions and millions of people, there is no one else exactly like you? You are 100% unique! God made sure of that. Let's look at a fun formula that shows this.
-- THE FORMULA FOR A UNIQUE YOU --
Your Special Smile
+ Your Cheerful Laughter
+ Your Kind Heart
+ Your Clever Brain
+ Your Unique Talents
--------------------------
= 1 AMAZING & WONDERFUL YOU!
Just like everyone has a different fingerprint, you have a special mix of gifts that only you possess. You are a one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
God's Wonderful Plan: Your Talents

- Sing beautifully in the school choir.
- Draw amazing pictures of animals from the Nairobi National Park.
- Tell funny stories that make everyone laugh.

YOU ARE A STAR!
A Story: The Potter of Limuru
In a small village near Limuru, there lived a wise old woman who was a famous potter. She would take simple clay from the riverbank, and with her loving hands, she would shape it into beautiful pots. Some pots were big and strong for carrying water. Some were small and decorated for storing sugar. Each pot was different, and each had a special purpose.
One day, a young child asked her, "Grandmother, why isn't every pot the same?"
The old woman smiled and said, "Because each one is made with a different purpose in mind. I shape them with love, thinking about how they will be used. God is like a potter, and we are His clay. He has shaped each of us differently, with love, and has given each of us a special purpose in this world."
How to Say "Asante, Mungu!" (Thank you, God!)
Since God made us so wonderfully, it is important to show our gratitude. How can we thank Him for this amazing gift of 'me'?
- Take care of your body: Eat healthy foods like sukuma wiki and fruits. Drink plenty of water. Play outside and get good rest.
- Use your talents: Don't hide your gifts! Sing, run, draw, and help others. When you use your talents, you are honouring God.
- Be kind to others: Remember, God made everyone else too! When you are kind, respectful, and loving to others, you are showing love for God's creation.
Here is a simple "code" to help you remember how to show thanks every day!
// My Daily "Asante Mungu" Program
function myDayOfThanks() {
// Step 1: Start the day with a prayer.
sayThankYou("For a new day");
// Step 2: Use my body well.
eatHealthyFood();
playAndRun();
// Step 3: Use my heart and hands.
shareWithFriends("my snacks or toys");
helpMyFamily("with a small chore");
// Step 4: End the day with a grateful heart.
sayThankYou("For all the blessings");
}
Always remember, you were not an accident. You were created on purpose, with love, by God. You are special, you are loved, and you are here to make the world a better place. Go on and shine!
Habari Mwanafunzi! Who Made You So Special?
Have you ever looked in a mirror? Go on, imagine you are looking at one right now! You see your eyes, your nose, your smile. Who made that amazing, one-of-a-kind person looking back at you? The answer is simple and wonderful: God made you!
Just like a carpenter carefully carves a beautiful chair, or a mama carefully cooks delicious ugali for her family, God took special care to create YOU. You are not an accident; you are a masterpiece!
You Are Wonderfully Made
In CRE, IRE, and HRE, we learn that the Creator, God, made everything. He made the tall acacia trees, the majestic elephants in Tsavo, and the tiny fish in Lake Victoria. But His most special creation is you! He gave you amazing parts to help you live, learn, and love.
- Your Brain: To think, learn new things in school, and dream big dreams!
- Your Heart: To feel love for your family, friends, and for God.
- Your Hands: To wave hello, to help with chores, and to create beautiful drawings.
- Your Feet: To run and play 'kati' with your friends in the field.
- Your Voice: To sing songs, to speak kindly, and to pray.
Image Suggestion: A vibrant and cheerful illustration of a diverse group of young Kenyan children. One child is looking in a handheld mirror and smiling, another is pointing to their heart, and a third is holding up a drawing they made. The background is a bright, sunny Kenyan landscape with a few huts and an acacia tree. The style should be warm and inviting, like a page from a children's storybook.
Let's Count God's Gifts!
Sometimes, we can use numbers to see just how many wonderful things God gave us. It's like a special kind of math that shows how much we are blessed!
--- My God-Given Parts ---
2 Eyes to see the beautiful colours of a Maasai shuka.
+ 1 Nose to smell the rain on the soil.
+ 2 Ears to hear the birds singing in the morning.
+ 1 Mouth to taste sweet mangoes and to say "Asante!"
+ 10 Fingers to build and create.
+ 10 Toes to balance and dance.

A Story: Kamau's Special Talent
Kamau loved playing football with his friends, but he wasn't the fastest runner. Sometimes, he felt sad because he couldn't score many goals. One day, his teacher saw him sitting alone, drawing in the sand with a stick. She was amazed! Kamau had drawn a perfect picture of a lion. His teacher smiled and said, "Kamau, God made your friend Juma with fast legs for running, but He made you with special hands for drawing. Everyone has a different gift from God, and your gift is beautiful!" Kamau realised that being a great artist was just as special as being a great runner. God had made him special in his own way.
We Are All Different, and That's Good!
Imagine a garden with only one type of flower. It would be okay, but a bit boring. A truly beautiful garden has many different flowers: red roses, yellow sunflowers, purple jacaranda blossoms. God made people the same way. We are all different, and that makes our world beautiful!
- Some of us are tall, and some are short.
- Some of us have skin the colour of rich soil, and some have skin the colour of sweet honey.
- Some of us are good at maths, and some are great at singing.
All these differences are gifts from God. He loves every single one of us exactly as we are.
How Can We Say 'Thank You' to God?
When someone gives you a gift, you say "Asante," right? Since God gave you the amazing gift of YOU, it's important to thank Him. Here’s how:
- Take Care of Your Body: Eat healthy foods like sukuma wiki and fruits. Keep yourself clean. This shows God you value His wonderful creation.
- Use Your Talents: If you are a good singer, sing joyfully! If you are a kind friend, share with others. Use the gifts God gave you to make the world a better place.
- Be Kind to Others: Remember that God made everyone else too. When you are kind to another person, you are showing respect for God's creation.
- Pray: Simply talk to God and say, "Thank you for making me!"
So, walk tall and smile brightly, mwanafunzi! You are made by God, you are loved by God, and you are very, very special.
Jambo! Have You Ever Wondered?
Have you ever looked at your hands, your smile in the mirror, or watched yourself run fast while playing kati with your friends and thought, "Wow! How did I become me?" It's a wonderful question! In our lesson today, we are going to explore the amazing truth: God made you!
1. You are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
The Holy Books (the Bible, the Qur'an) teach us that we are not an accident. God planned you and created you with great love and care. Think about your body. Your eyes can see the beautiful jacaranda trees in Nairobi or the stunning sunset over Lake Victoria. Your legs can help you run errands for your mother or walk to school. Your hands can be used to help a friend, draw a picture, or help with work in the shamba. Every single part of you was designed by God for a purpose.
As it says in the Bible, in Psalm 139:14: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Image Suggestion: A vibrant, sunlit photograph of a diverse group of happy Kenyan school children of different ages and tribes, playing together in a schoolyard. They are wearing colourful school uniforms. In the background, there are acacia trees and a clear blue sky. The style should be joyful and realistic.
2. You are Perfectly Unique!
Look around your classroom or your neighbourhood. Do you see anyone who is exactly, perfectly, 100% like you? No! Even identical twins have their own unique fingerprints and personalities. God made billions of people, but He only made one you. Your voice, your laugh, your thoughts, and your fingerprints are special only to you.
Your fingerprint is a special pattern on your finger that nobody else in the world has. It is a beautiful sign from God that you are unique!

(Your Unique Fingerprint)
Let's think about this with a simple "Uniqueness Calculation." This isn't real mathematics, but it helps us understand the idea!
Step 1: Start with Your Special Smile.
[Your Smile]
Step 2: Add Your Unique Way of Laughing.
[Your Smile] + [Your Laughter]
Step 3: Add Your One-of-a-Kind Thoughts.
[Your Smile] + [Your Laughter] + [Your Thoughts]
----------------------------------------------------
Result: = 1 Amazing, Unique, and Special YOU!
----------------------------------------------------
3. You are Made in God's Image
What does it mean to be made in God's image? It doesn't mean we look exactly like God. It means we have special qualities that reflect God's own character. Qualities like:
- Love: The ability to love our family, friends, and even our neighbours.
- Creativity: The power to draw, build, sing, or solve problems. When you create something new, you are reflecting God the Creator!
- Kindness: The choice to be kind and helpful to others.
- Justice: The desire to see things be fair and right for everyone.
A Quick Story: Think of Kamau from class four. During break time, he saw a new student, Akinyi, sitting all alone and looking sad because she had forgotten her snacks at home. Instead of just playing with his friends, Kamau went over, shared his mandazi, and invited her to play. That act of kindness and sharing was a reflection of God's love. Kamau was living as someone made in God's image.
What This Means For You
Knowing that God made you is the most powerful knowledge you can have! Remember these three things:
- You are valuable: You are not a mistake. You have immense worth and value just because you are you.
- You are loved: The Creator of the whole universe, from Mount Kenya to the Indian Ocean, made you and loves you deeply.
- You have a purpose: God made you with special talents and gifts to use to make the world a better place.
Image Suggestion: A thoughtful, artistic image of a young Kenyan child looking at their reflection in a clear puddle of water after a rain shower. The reflection shows the child's face, but also the sky and clouds above. The child has a look of gentle wonder and discovery. The background is a lush, green Kenyan landscape.
Activity: My "God Made Me" Portrait
Take a piece of paper and draw a picture of yourself. Around the drawing, write down at least five things that make you special and unique. It could be "I am a good friend," "I can run very fast," "I love to sing," or "I have a big, happy smile." Be proud of who God made you to be!
