Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
• Greet customers and assist in locating products.
• Respond to customer enquiries and offer product information.
• Ensure a positive shopping experience and handle basic complaints or refer them to the supervisor.
2. Stock Management
• Receive, unpack, and verify incoming stock deliveries.
• Label, price, and arrange products on shelves according to store guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the Store Supervisor/Manager.
• Assist in stock rotation to minimise losses and ensure product freshness.
3. Store Operations
• Keep the store clean, well-organised, and visually appealing.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including shelves, counters, and storage rooms.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining product displays and promotions.
4. Cash Handling (if assigned)
• Operate the cash register accurately.
• Process customer payments (cash, card, mobile money).
• Issue receipts and balance the till at the end of the shift as required.
5. Inventory Control
∙Participate in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
∙Record discrepancies and assist in investigating stock variances.
6. Compliance & Safety
• Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Ensure all products are handled and stored in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Working Conditions
• Shift-based work, including weekends and public holidays.
• Moderate physical activity such as lifting, standing, and moving stock.
