Onboarding Support Specialist for Digital Marketing Agency
Job Description
Real talk…
Most "project managers" we've interviewed are glorified email forwarders.
They nod a lot on Zoom calls.
Send passive-aggressive Slack messages.
And somehow still manage to let projects fall through the cracks.
We need someone different.
Someone who can actually MANAGE things.
Here's The Deal:
We run a digital marketing agency that works exclusively with martial arts school owners.
(Yeah, we niched down. Revolutionary concept, I know.)
Our clients are busy teaching kids how to roundhouse kick and running their businesses.
They don't have time to figure out funnels, automations, and all the technical stuff that comes with launching a high-converting website.
That's where you come in.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
You'll own the entire client journey from "just signed" to "website goes live."
That includes:
→ Supporting clients via live chat, zoom, phone calls etc to get the set up FAST
→ Co-ordinating the team to build the right funnels for their sales process
→ Hopping on Zoom calls with clients to guide them through the process
→ Making sure nothing gets dropped, delayed, or half-done
You're not just "checking boxes" on a project management tool.
You're actively ADVISING clients on what will work best for THEIR business.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
1) Excellent English & communication skills.
- You'll lead live Zoom calls with clients.
- So if you sound like a robot reading a script...
- Or you struggle to explain things in a way normal humans understand...
This isn't for you.
2) You can follow our processes… but you're also experienced enough to GUIDE clients.
- We have systems in place.
- But we also need someone who knows their stuff.
- Someone who can say, "Hey, based on what you're trying to do, here's what I'd recommend."
Not just, "Uhh, lemme check with my manager."
3) You understand SEO well enough to keep clients from shooting themselves in the foot.
- We don't need you to be an SEO wizard.
- But you DO need to know enough to say:
- "Hey, maybe don't delete all your old URLs without setting up redirects."
- Or, "Let's not stuff 47 keywords into your homepage title tag."
Basic stuff that protects their rankings.
4) You're available Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM US Eastern Standard Time.
- This is non-negotiable.
- Our clients are in the US.
- If you're only available at 3 AM their time, it's not gonna work.
WHAT YOU'LL GET:
- A role where you actually make an impact. (Not just another cog in a corporate machine.)
- A team that values competence over politics.
- And the chance to work with clients who are building real businesses - Not dropshippers selling fidget spinners.
INTERESTED?
Answer the following questions and send 'em over.
(And no, you can't just run these through ChatGPT. We'll know.)
SUBMIT ANSWERS TO THESE APPLICATION QUESTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED:
1) Describe a time you had to manage a project where the client kept changing their mind halfway through. How did you handle it without losing your sanity?
2) A client wants to add a new page to their website, but you notice it's going to create duplicate content issues that could hurt their SEO. How do you explain this to them in a way they'll actually understand?
3) You're juggling 5 client projects. One of them emails you at 6:45 PM (15 minutes before you're off) with an "urgent" request that's really not urgent. What do you do?
4) Walk me through how you'd set up a simple sales funnel for a martial arts school owner who's trying to get more trial signups. What pages/steps would you include and why?
5) If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
(Yeah, that last one's random. But I wanna know if you're a psychopath who'd choose something like "plain oatmeal.")
