Head of Sales - Hyundai Construction Equipment
Job Description
This role will lead the commercial strategy and execution for the HCE brand, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and managing a high-performing sales team across key customer segments.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the sales strategy for Hyundai Construction Equipment in Kenya, aligned with growth targets and brand standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, setting clear targets, driving pipeline discipline, and ensuring consistent performance.
• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, expanding key accounts, and strengthening relationships with strategic customers.
• Lead high-stakes negotiations and manage complex deals with corporate clients, contractors, and fleet/industrial buyers.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and performance reporting through KPIs.
• Provide technical and commercial support to the team, ensuring strong product knowledge and value-based selling.
• Coordinate with Aftersales, Parts, and Operations to ensure a strong customer experience and long-term account retention.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and customer needs to refine go-to-market tactics.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in sales within construction equipment, industrial machinery, or heavy trucks.
• Strong technical understanding of machinery and the ability to translate product features into customer value.
• Proven track record managing and developing commercial teams and delivering targets.
• Advanced negotiation skills and strong relationship management with strategic/key accounts.
• Highly results-driven, structured, and confident in a fast-moving commercial environment.
• English is mandatory; Swahili is an advantage.
