Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to oversee a high-impact software development initiative from inception through delivery. The role requires strong leadership, advanced project management expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project outcomes. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex technical projects, driving execution, and maintaining alignment with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end project management for a mission-critical software development project
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation frameworks
• Coordinate effectively with developers, QA teams, executives, and external vendors
• Manage and motivate project teams to achieve milestones and maintain high performance
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive issue resolution
• Maintain strict control over project scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables
• Oversee software testing, validation, and quality assurance to meet performance and security standards
• Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies to support iterative development and continuous improvement
• Develop and execute project rollout plans with internal and external stakeholders
• Serve as the primary liaison for project communications, providing regular progress updates to all stakeholders
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 6+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years managing software development projects
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level software solutions successfully
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and modern software development practices
• Familiarity with contemporary software architecture and integration approaches
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, MS Project, or similar
• Strong technical understanding of SDLC, APIs, integration processes, and software delivery workflows
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Certified Practitioner are preferred
