The Center for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (CEMA) at the University of Nairobi is a multidisciplinary hub that brings together experts in epidemiology, infectious diseases, clinical sciences, mathematics, statistics, computer science, and data science. The center applies data-driven methodologies to control infectious diseases and enhance health outcomes across Kenya and the African continent. Role Description
The Center for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (CEMA-Africa) is looking for a full-time salesperson to join the team in its office located in Nairobi. The salesperson will be responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that align with the center's mission of improving health outcomes. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining client relationships, preparing and delivering sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with team members to meet sales targets. The role also involves staying informed about industry trends and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the organization.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze customer needs and develop tailored solutions
• Knowledge of public health, data-driven research, or epidemiology is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Health, or a related field
• Experience in the public health or non-profit sector is a plus
