Role Description
As a Debt Collector, you will be responsible for contacting clients to recover outstanding payments and negotiating payment plans. Daily tasks include communicating with debtors via phone, email, or in person, maintaining accurate records of interactions, and collaborating with the finance team on account status updates. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nakuru and Eldoret , requiring professionalism and a customer-focused approach to ensure timely debt recovery while maintaining positive client relationships.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Debt Collection practices and strategies, with a focus on recovering overdue payments effectively.
• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to handle negotiations tactfully and professionally.
• Basic Computer Literacy skills, such as familiarity with data entry, spreadsheet software, and debt management systems.
• Knowledge of Finance principles and an understanding of cash flow and loan repayment processes.
• Ability to manage Cash Collection procedures accurately and securely.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications or certifications in finance or related fields are advantageous.
