Job Description
R.I.S.E AFRICA FOUNDATION is seeking a committed and results-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to support resource mobilization efforts. The Grant Writer will play a critical role in identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling grant proposals, and supporting donor reporting to advance the Foundation’s mission across Africa.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site based in Nairobi Kenya. The Grants Writer will develop grant proposals, conduct funding prospect research, and manage grant administration processes. Key responsibilities include writing compelling grant applications, preparing supporting documents, and maintaining compliance with funding requirements. Collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities and secure funding is a central part of this role.
Qualifications
• Experience in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing
• Strong skills in Grant Administration and maintaining compliance with funding requirements
• Proficiency in Prospect Research and identifying funding opportunities
• Knowledge of Fundraising strategies and practices
• Excellent written communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Familiarity with the research and education sectors is an asset
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
