PL E We call Earth our world because it is our home, where we live, but we call it God’s world because He is the one who made the world and everything in it. As a matter of fact, the very first verse in the Bible makes this clear with Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. ” God created everything, and He knows all about everything. Throughout our science class this year, we will be learning many awesome things about our world, and we can be thankful to God for making them. SA M Another thing we will learn about this year is some different scientists who have discovered things about our world that help us to understand or use our world better.
