RESOLUTIONS OF THE MANAGEMENT AND SENATE RETREAT (CONCLAVE) HELD IN TRAVELLERS BEACH HOTEL & SPA FROM JULY 1, 2024, TO JULY 4, 2024 In reference, to the University Management Senate Retreat (Conclave) held on July 1, 2024, to July 4, 2024, at Travellers Beach Hotel & SPA, the following Resolutions were duly passed: 1. THAT the University Management Board constitutes a strategic plan committee for developing a modern strategic plan for the university 21 st century by August 1, 2024. The committee will recast the strategic plan thematic areas to reflect the existential reality of the 21st century. THAT the University Management Board should increase human resources in the Directorate of Resource Mobilization (DRM). Additionally, the DVC FAP through CM-HR should advertise for a Grants Officer position to be domiciled in DRM by September 1, 2024. THAT the University Management Board constitutes a committee in charge of metrics for enhanced ranking that will provide semi-annual reports to the senate by September 1, 2024. The committee is to comprise Research office representatives, DAA, and QA.
