Job Summary
Miller Electric-The VDC Planner is responsible for the planning, layout, design, and coordination of assigned projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Planning, layout, and design of electrical installationsThis person has a thorough knowledge of electrical systems, construction documents, and quality construction work practicesSeeks ways to infuse quality and labor savings into overall layout effortsWorks with the Project Coordinator via VDC Planner Production Supervisor’s appointment.Review Construction Documents (Drawings and Specifications) notes, list what is important from a VDC viewpoint on the PLD Dashboard.Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials for the Inwall Task only.Plan and lay out work for modeler’s use.Develop a 2D document plan based on specs, drawing notes, design drawings and all applicable codes for the modeler to create a digital model while instituting (QA) parameters.Maintain regular contact with the Project Personnel and collaborate project requirements.Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials for the Inwall Task only.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Tools used:SOPBluebeamGoogle ApplicationsAutodesk CloudNavisworksBIM Execution PlansVarious Other Software
Qualifications
Licensed journeyman with 1-3 years of running work on construction jobsite Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam and Microsoft 365Experience with team collaborationDemonstrates problem-solving ability and can work under rigorous schedulesDemonstrates organizational and communication skillsProficient in reading and understanding of all forms of construction documentsAbility to interpret 2D plans and provide input to a 3D modelA commitment to continued learning and developmentAbility to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment#miller#LI-JJ1
