Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Engineer
Job Description
Corvus Consulting, LLC is seeking a PKI Engineer to support the evaluation, testing, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions and services supporting secure, mission-focused systems. In this role, the PKI Engineer will collaborate with a technical team to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant PKI capabilities, ensuring system integrity and availability across enterprise environments. This position is a fully remote opportunity; however, candidates are strongly preferred to be local to the National Capital Region (NCR) to support occasional on-site engagements, meetings, or customer requirements as needed.
This position is contingent upon contract award and funding, and final salary and compensation will be determined at that time based on available funding, scope, and the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Salary ranges and position details may be subject to change.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate, test, develop, deploy, and maintain PKI services and solutions
• Collaborate with team members to identify improvement opportunities and design efficient, robust solutions
• Develop automated services to improve usability and streamline PKI processes
• Support certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and policy compliance
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications include:
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Strong understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Hands-on experience designing, setting up, and operating PKI components
• Experience working with multiple PKI products
• Knowledge of certificate policies, certificate contents, and the certificate lifecycle
• Experience automating the certificate lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications:
• Intermediate to senior-level PKI knowledge
• Strong Linux experience
• Solid understanding of asymmetric cryptography concepts and applications
• Experience supporting Army tactical networks and understanding their operational impacts
